Andhra Pradesh will have EAMCET this year for UG medical admissions, confirmed sources indicated that the state secured an exception after the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy involved into the matter. Mr. Reddy has spoken to Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad explaining the concerns the state has, he had briefed to Azad about the worries of students and parents in the state.
AP from the past two years is under political instability, bringing in a new change will have diverse opinions from opposition leaders and leads to more instability. Rural students who haven’t given enough time to cope up with the new syllabus is another reason the state was trying to seek exception, the syllabus proposed by MCI is having about 30% change compared to EAMCET experts told careermitra.com.
Private colleges and parents have relaxed as they believe the mental stress on their children will now be thrashed and they could head to their EAMCET preparation. There are 37 medical colleges in the state and Osmania University is among the top college or university any MBBS aspirant will be concentrating.
Other states including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and West Bengal are also among the states who are planning to defer NEET UG by one or two years.
AP’s chief minister Reddy had acted promptly and given a sigh of relief for the future medicos of the state, as nothing is changing for them this year. They will have to do what they have planned to do from the past 15 months are so, NEET UG has been ruled out in Andhra Pradesh and will come into affect from 2014. What do you feel?
