HPCL to recruit 250 Graduate Engineers through GATE-2013

HPCL intends to recruit 250 Engineering Graduates through GATE 2013, the positions are available for Engineering Graduates with specializations in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunications and Instrumentation Engineering.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates should have passed qualifying degree examinations and awarded bachelor‟s degree in engineering/technology in the above mentioned disciplines (full time regular courses only) from recognized Indian Universities/ Institutes.

Candidates (belonging to General and OBC-NC category) should have secured minimum 60% marks in qualifying degree examinations. It is relaxed to 50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply. However, if selected, they must be in a position to submit their final mark sheet by 31st August 2013.At the time of applying Candidates (belonging to General and OBC NC category) should have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks upto last semester examinations. It is relaxed to 50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Age limit

Maximum 25 years as on 30th June 2013 for the general category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directive.

The last date for receiving online application for HPCL is 14th February, 2013.

      Only GATE 2013 score is applicable.

    aggregate mentioned in above criteria are to be considered on 1st to 8 th sem aggregate of marks….or only 7th and 8 th sem(last year) aggregate marks.?

      Aggregate marks means overall marks including all semesters not just 7th & 8th Sem. Unless mentioned explicitly.

          No, 60% is the eligibility for General & NC OBC candidates. You can apply and see if they consider it, most chances are that they will reject.
